Miine vs Linktree, written honestly

Linktree defined this category and is very good at it. Miine is a much smaller, free alternative that trades breadth for design control. Here is the real difference — including where Linktree is the better pick.

Build your page — free

The short answer

Choose Miine if you want the page to look like yours, you want every design control without a plan, and your needs stop at links. Choose Linktree if you need commerce, deep analytics, integrations, or the reliability record of a large established company.

Both publish a mobile page at a short URL that you put in an Instagram or TikTok bio. That part is the same. What differs is how much of the page's appearance you control and how much else the platform does.

Linktree's plans and features change regularly, so treat the right-hand column as a direction rather than a quotation — check their pricing page for the current position before deciding.

Where Miine is genuinely different

The design controls are the product, and they are all free. Fonts, button shape, button and text colour, side borders, shadows, full-page background images, two-colour gradients, patterns, and stickers you can drag anywhere on the page.

There is also no tier to reason about. A large part of what makes link-in-bio tools irritating is discovering that the control you want is two plans up; Miine removes that decision entirely by not having plans.

Saved design versions are unusual for this category: you can snapshot a whole look, try something completely different, and restore the old one if it was better.

Where Linktree is the better choice

This section is here because a comparison page that concludes the author's product wins every category is not useful to anyone.

  • Selling directly from the page — Linktree has real commerce and payment features; Miine has none
  • Deep analytics with audience and referrer breakdowns over long periods
  • A wide integration ecosystem with email tools, shops and scheduling platforms
  • Managing links for a brand where scale and uptime record matter more than appearance
  • Team access and multiple accounts
  • Name recognition, which for some audiences is itself a reason

Miine is new and built by one person. That is why the design controls are generous and the surrounding feature set is not.

How Miine stays free

A fair question, and the honest answer is that it is small. Miine is built and run by one person. A link page is cheap to host — the pages are static and cached at the edge, so serving one costs a fraction of a penny, and the database behind it is modest.

There is no venture funding to service and no growth target that would eventually require putting the design controls behind a plan. That also sets the limits: there is no support team, no enterprise agreement, and features arrive at the pace one person can build them. If that trade is wrong for you, the comparison above is meant to say so plainly.

Switching

There is no import tool. Moving means recreating your links, which for a typical page of five to ten links takes a few minutes, then changing the URL in your social bios. Nothing is locked in the other direction either — Miine has no export, because there is nothing to export beyond the links you already have.

Questions

Is Miine a free alternative to Linktree?

Yes. Miine is a free link-in-bio builder with a single tier and no paid plans. It focuses on design control — fonts, colours, button styling, backgrounds and stickers — so pages look custom rather than templated. Published pages carry a small "Miine" link in the corner.

What does Miine offer that Linktree does not?

Every design control is free rather than tiered, including full-page background images, gradients, patterns, custom fonts, button shape and border controls. Miine also has draggable stickers and saved design versions, which let you snapshot a whole look and restore it later.

When should I choose Linktree over Miine?

Choose Linktree if you need commerce and payment features, deep analytics, a broad integration ecosystem, team accounts, or the reliability record of a large established platform. Miine is newer, smaller in scope, and does not offer commerce.

Does Miine put a watermark on my page?

There is a small "Miine" link in the corner of a published page. There is no full branding strip, no upsell banner and no interstitial before your page loads, but the link is present and cannot currently be removed.

Can I import my links from Linktree to Miine?

There is no automatic import. You recreate your links in Miine, which takes a few minutes for a typical page, then update the URL in your social media bios.

Is Miine really free, or is it a trial?

It is free with no trial period and no paid tier. Every design feature is available to every account.

It takes about two minutes.
